are you sure you didn't install some kind of third-party script that changed your cursor config?
try reinstalling hyprcursor

change cursor theme, install one

i have apple_cursor yay package and have env = HYPRCURSOR_THEME,apple in my hypr config

Hi, This is what Happened to me. Try putting in one of your config files inside hypr folder.

cursor {
  no_hardware_cursors = true
}

I am not sure if that would be an official fix, but it works. Credit to FogHorn
