#OMARCHY FREEZE!

Asus can be sensitive to the excessive ram usage.
Also have a Vivobook in the house so it's not just an educated guess.
Their lappys have ram sensitivity to heating issues.
Looking into it myself atm.
So after some extensive reading and checking throughout my system I found an interesting fix to my overheating issue that's now resolved. Just so happens after the small update from pacman yesterday I lost some funtions from cooler control and all my device switches were inactive. Had to reinstall cooler control and reactivate them. Ran the pc with omarchy all night listening to sleep music without any issues. @twin panther
in my case my omarchy got corrupted like after that not even booting then i decide to sacrifice all my customization and reinstall and now its good
good deal. glad you got it worked out man.
This happen on just a normal pacman update?
Need logs to figure out what's happening.
- Do apps freeze, followed by the entire system?
- Can you use
Ctrl+Alt+F2to jump to a vty after the freeze? Usuallyhyprlandwill show a crash screen if it's that. You'd also need to jump back withF1-F7, same modkey prefix - Do you have an AMD GPU? particularly an iGPU?
Can you run these:
journalctl -k -b-1will show kernel messages in the last bootjournalctl -x -b-1 -g systemgreps messages. also try-g amdgpusudo dmesgmight be useful once you know what hardware issue it is, but usually helps with issues where something doesn't load correctly
It fixed i reinstalled Omarchy it's happening cause of corrupted files of Omarchy
ah i see
Yes it did. I have updated Omarchy since and seen a removed cooler control file. Should have snapshot it so I'd have know what it was. I'm assuming you found and fixed something to do with cooler control issue.
