#Ripgrep (rg) taking 50%+ of CPU randomly

Side note electron also taking a full 8 gigs of RAM, anybody encountered something similar?
check with pacman -Qi ripgrep who is requiring it. ripgrep does not come with Omarchy by default, you have to explicitly install it
Electron has memory leakage issues
There's a reason why the devs choose to make the Zed editor (since vs code uses electron)
the omarchy manual lists it as one of the shell tools that is installed
is there any way to curb this?
Yes, on a fresh install it should be installed nowadays. I have an older install where i had to manually install it, sorry for the confusion
all good, I will do pacman and see what's going on with it in a bit. Right now trying to fix ACPI issue that's causing my touchpad, speakers, fans to not work
Yeah, just delete any electron based app
Oof I’m worried it may be Cursor IDE and cursor is my baby
It is the cursor IDE
It looks like a fork of vs code
It is but it’s an AI-first variant that I use for my freelance work
Has a super powerful background agent that is really helpful
