i dont know how far you want to take the game but a money system might even be implemented so there is some incentive to win races?

Ah, I see. Man, to be honest, after working on free-to-play mobile games for the last decade+, the last thing I want to put in Cranked is an in-game economy. I hate that shit. Managing money sucks in real life; I don't want to have to do it in a game, from a developer and player standpoint. 😂

We will have other ways to incentivize players to win races, like leaderboards, championship points, XP (used to level up your rider, which unlocks new content), to complete achievements, or just for fun. We haven't started on the meta game at all yet. We will get to work on that once the basics of gameplay are done. Hopefully, we can make something fun and entertaining that provides insane amounts of gameplay. We have a lot of fun ideas.

In game races would be sick. Time limit of like 5 minutes. Join in, you get 5 min to lay down fastest time. Could gain reputation style points or something or rankings. Idk. Could be a cool idea similar to the seasons thing we talked about originally @echo marsh Where its 1 run, World Cup style. Makes it intense. But for simple things, hosting a race would be rad for an online mode with a bunch of friends. Could easily do that on the side without a system built though too , but if some type of points system was associated could be rad

Some trackmania events do this where you get points depending on your placement in the lobby. So less about your time one run and more overall consistency. and then whoever gets to a certain number of points is classed as winner. Bonk cup is one

Yeah there was messages going around or was chatting with @echo marsh how wild it would be for an actual season. UCI style, 1 race run, definitely are going balls to the wall like you would when you are just vibing and playing. Might need to play it safer and take safer lines but you would get your time. and then be in a ranking. Would be however wrong the season is. Each race week or wahtever you would have the week to login and do your one race when you are ready. Would make it way more intense and make you think about your line.

Think maybe this thread would work for this note. Just played some Skate with a pal and was left a little disappointed in the lack of options the head to head (throwdown) thing had. Not being able to do single runs where one person at a time does their thing, while the other spectates really takes away the feeling of competition. Was just a open sessions where you both skate about scoring points but can't really see what the others doing which just made it feel lacklustre as you are not able to appreciate the tricks the other is doing. Was really expecting it to be like Skate 2 party play.

So if you are hosting a race against each other on Cranked it would be good to have a few more options i think. One where you can all go at once like trackmania or descenders new race mode etc then an option for one at a time while the others spectate

you end up having to grind a lot for that 1 outfit you want and then its kinda useless

yeah just giving the options of different ways to play together would be good. Currently the new skate game just feels weird cause their big thing is the everyone online tons of players but then you cant really do anything together you are all kinda just doing individual activities in a lobby
