Severe GUI lag in Create World menu and Hamster Handbook

I am using Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. After testing my modpack, I found that Adorable Hamster Pets seems to be causing serious** lag **in some GUI screens.

Environment:
Minecraft: 1.21.1
Mod Loader: NeoForge 21.1.230
Adorable Hamster Pets: 3.6.0 for 1.21.1 NeoForge
Patchouli: 1.21.1-93 NeoForge

Issue:
When Adorable Hamster Pets is installed, the Create New World menu becomes very laggy. After entering the world, the game itself runs normally and does not lag much. However, when I open the Hamster Handbook / guidebook, the game becomes very laggy again.

What I tested:
I removed Adorable Hamster Pets from the mods folder, and the Create New World menu immediately became smooth again. The lag only comes back when I add the mod again.

So I think the issue may be related to the guidebook, GUI rendering, configuration screen, or some data loading from the mod, rather than normal in-game entity performance.

I really like this mod and would love to keep using it🥺 . Is this a known issue?

Thank you! I tried to reproduce the issue again before recording a video, but strangely the lag is gone now. It may have been a first-load/cache issue. I will keep testing, and if the lag comes back, I will provide the latest.log, full mod list, steps to reproduce, and a video.🫡 🫡 🫡

do you have inventory particles installed?

when the game loads up for the first time, that mod creates unique textures for every item in the game

The mod itself warns of temporary lag until that process is complete
