Actually in a sit down with ign or Xbox I can’t remember they showed some in game screenshots and one of them showed that 27 minutes of game time is 46 percent of the story so at that point we knew it would be short

I will agree it is short, but it was also fun, since it was like a short film movie in a good way. It was very unique and not boring. I do wish other fighting games learn from this when it comes to story telling.

Guys, if you play on easy and normal, then fights last barely a minute, of course it will be short. If you play on harder difficulties, then it becomes a challenge, and it will double OR triple that time.

It is just how it is. But even then, I would take short and sweet over bloated visual novel that is boring. That being said, maybe one day they can do an expansion for story like mortal kombat. Whenever they get Thragg.

I got spoiled of it being a short game, but it was awesome, I beat the whole game on hard mode, I almost did it in Viltrumite, but since there is no trophy of beating the story in that difficulty, I just beat it in hard mode.

It felt like a short film with a cliffhanger in a good way. I think people are so used to long story modes like Mortal Kombat even though those story modes are crap.

I'm kinda OK with the story mode length... 20 battles is kinda "smooth" for a fighting game campaign, doesn't overstay its welcome... the only thing I fear is that they might charge for the "sequel" instead of doing the Tekken 8 route, that is releasing the next chapter for free, while allowing access to DLC content during the chapter, so people could "test drive" new characters and buy them later for use on other modes and online...

The story was good imo, and what I did since this is my first tag was put it on hard so that I would have to actually learn the games mechanics to clear it.

With every new character release they will add a cut scene to move the story forward , then at the beginning of the new season next year there will be a longer story extension that leads a new ‘episode’

IMHO you are just spoiled by NRS levels of story modes and want the same experience even when the game charges quite less(and have a smaller budget overall)... the game was clear since the beginning that the story mode worked like an original episode from the animated series... and guess what... the animated series episode run time is around an hour long... and the worst thing about your argument is that you are prioritizing quantity over quality... Don't get me wrong... I would love to play more content like this in the future, but i got what i've paid for... If theres anything to complain about it, I'm not a big fan of cliffhangers... but unfortunately most writers use that in basically every game/series/comics out there... so theres not much i can do on that front... its a hook, and makes people wanting more... it works... thats why its overused...
