I love the sheriff but rn he doesnt do anything it seems and the bounty board is there, so why not make bounties that go along the lines of "troublemaker cryptids that need to be turned to oil" and its like, an empowered version of the normal ones and then there's epic bounties that are empowered elites, these could give u a reward of sorts, gold maybe? and the empowered ones would drop more souls, like one of the shrines, maybe even get skins from the sheriff when they come out depending on how many bounties uve done, or a point system where different bounties have different points and every milestone is a skin or even have them be unrealted to combat "recover this thing from here or repair this from there" type thing

This is a superb idea
Lads, the game is the bounty hunting. The missions we do is the actual bounties.
Yeah, and this synergises with that
No reason we can't grab small bounties while we head to the big bounties.
Double-dipping is a proud mercenary tradition
It's just that when a suggestion is framed as "The bounties don't do anything" - it creates a negative disposition towards itself because it's like the players didn't even pay attention enough to make proper suggestions.
He said the sheriff doesn't do anything, which is admittedly true of all the non-shopkeeper NPCs
rn he doesnt do anything it seems and the bounty board is there
OP is clearly talking about how he doesn't do anything in relation to the bounties.
I read that as saying it would be a sensible interaction point that's already in the game, but your reading also makes sense.
it can be like a weekly quest
