its not the same world. and in that. I am disappointed in the abruptness, and the sheer quantity of trails that were lain implying such a thing. all that is left is a husk. a last minute heel turn. everything gesturing, pointing, all to be left with an empty shell.
at least the game is fun. but man. its just been one disappointing quest finish after another come this endgame push.

oh no the game is great
the story has been fun. the gameplay is solid.
its just I feel. frustrated that so much was just there, as I said it feels like they got very far into development with one specific story plan of some kind and then.... ditched it.
and then.... didn't clean anything up.

I went diving through the CV2 steam reviews again, just to ya know get a grasp of what player response was and...
like....
they're all complaining about things.... that are just.... like thats how codevein is?
"bosses are relentless and you have basically no poise" yeah thats.... thats codevein. thats how codevein has..... always been.....
the performance complaints are completely valid but. so many of the gameplay frustrations are... like....
you had.... 6 or so years to figure out if you liked the first one?

at least it's not as bad as the original MHTri review on IGN that got taken down and replaced with a good one

they chose the wrong person to review it, someone who's never played Monster Hunter before
and they were like "It's a terrible RPG, it doesn't even have levels, barely any story, and all you do is fight monsters over and over to finally be able to craft gear to fight harder monsters over and over to be able to craft gear, it's so bad!"
gave it a 1.5/5.0 or 2/10 or some shit
then they took that one down and replaced it with someone who knows the series and it got like a 4/5 or 8/10
