I decided it was time to figure out what the fart box trap in agheel lake did, and it transported me to a mine in sellia, and it's full of those centipedes in tight quarters in a maze that you have to navigate by jumping and also they can fall off ledges and start spraying you from afar argh

if you're going for dragon hearts, though, remember your arcane needs a pretty high-ish value to cast them spells.

Release time ||Consort Radahn was hellaciously hard. Professional Souls players were bashing their heads against him for hours. He didn't have pause moments between attacks, there were little to no punish phases, and he had a hell of a stagger going on. Getting clipped by one of the flying beams, and if it doesn't do a significant amount of damage all on its own, it staggers you into a nearly unavoidable punish from Radahn. He also started the fight on Aggro, immediately blasting you with no breathing room from the moment you entered the arena.||
There were apparently so many complaints that within I want to say the first month or so there was a nerf patch to him slowing him down? Something like that.

Tbh, there really wasn't any need for me to transfer my runes to my buddy and back to my own new character. Honestly, it was a combination of, they were sitting in my inventory, on my nearly 550 lvl main character, on my+7 or 8. So I had the spare resources to send over, that I wasn't using for anything except maybe to purchase smithing stones if I ran out and was feeling too lazy to grind at the Mohgwyn palace run. Also, I hadn't ever done it before, so it was as much test for me as it was to get rid of inventory lol

Short answer: yes
Long answer: status effects do “go through” shields, but to do a proper heavy armour and great shield setup you have a significant number of points in stats that boost your resistances, paired with the right talisman setup and you’re fine.
For the most part. In PvE status effects are rare enough that only a handful of bosses use the really nasty ones, and in those instances they STILL primarily use physical damage thus greatshield works great. Heh.
Magic damage also is reduced by shields as well. Shields are not JUST physical guarders. A reason we use bigger heavier shields is not just for their higher guard rating, but also for their other resistances. Some of the best heavy shields have 70-80% resistance to a secondary damage type.
As someone in the literal hardest difficulty let me be clear: shield tanking, or being a dodge god, are your only options.

Question for other Elden ring nerds … is it possible to play it offline ? I’m in the middle of a move and was sorta lied to about being able to plug in my new router right away so I’m without Internet but I also really wanna play some more of my current playthrough to take a break from all the moving chaos.
