Well I was just trying to download the files and have them on a server. I’m new to all of this. Only fork im good at is the kind that goes in my mouth. I did download the files from the Git repo but idk what I did to mess it up 🤣

nah the ks-giftcode is a backup tool you can use if you just want to redeem codes. it's not a discord bot
if Tim set up a container for you on his site, you should be able to connect there, and then you just need to upload the file bot_token.txt containing your discord bot token to the container, then start main.py on there

Hmm I’ll probably need more help than that haha. I have a server on his site now but idk how to get my bot operational without having my laptop on all the time. Probably need to delete everything I have and start over. Again #skillissues

Please send me your bot files in a dm. Just zip them and sent them to me. I will put your db back and put your bot token into it. Then it's just simply push start and then turn off the bot on your laptop

If you have a backup from te previous person who ran the bot those to otherwise only the bot token is enough

For the database it doesn't matter, I can copy the old db into the new bot

@leaden goblet it give an error on import pkg_resources, I commented that out for now to see if it has any effect. Especially since I don't see where it's used compared with the wosbot 😂

oh crap that was an oversight cause it was used in main.py for the wos bot as a fallback method
