#Kiro System Prompt

Oh yeah, sorry, will post it shortly from my laptop, I don’t have the config file on my phone
Click on the Kiro extension in the left sidebar (in the Kiro IDE) the bottom section is for MCP servers: In the top right section of the MCP servers sub-section (where the close button would be) is a button that open a config file, open it, it will open either your Workspace MCP server settings config, or your User config, if it's a personal machine it doesn't matter, if it's a shared machine use the User config file unless to want to add the MCP server availability for all users.
Kiro struggles to load the MCP servers when the IDE loads, sometimes the filesystem MCP actually connects but the rest fail first time, every time. Just open the same Kiro extension tab in the left sidebar and click the refresh button on the right of the name, they generally connect at the 2nd attempt.
I used to have a couple more configured like Huggingface for AI inference spaces but it seemed to just get in the way when not explicitly being used, nothing wrong with HF was probably my system config (trying to squeeze wine out of a stone).
I forget now what the exact thing is but this file is in a specific format, specifically the top (mcpServers line) some other editors require the other format (apologies for lack of details on this) just paste it into chatgpt and ask for the other format, but this is how it should be pasted into your Kiro config file.
Thx
