I joined the hackathon before Kiro was waitlisted and attempted to download official site tonight. So all downloads appear to be unavailable now.

While looking around for the github, I stumbled across an official looking, AI-generated website touting itself on as the official Kiro site with links to download the kiro client. However this does not appear to legitimate, and I have no idea what's in these clients. It's currently highly ranked (top 10 results for "kiro download mac" via a hugging face blog post)

While the waitlist may be necessary to gate the flood of requests coming in now, it may lead some developers to seek alternative mirrors despite official guidance.Attackers may capitalize on the opportunity to attempt to capture motivated developers to download clients that may be compromised in order to participate in the hackathon.

Hi @spring tide

I tested the security hook shared within Doc - https://kiro.dev/docs/hooks/examples/#security-pre-commit-scanner with Claude 3.7.
On requesting a code update through Kiro Agentic or by manually performing a code update, I observed the hook getting triggered correctly.

I would recommend going through the troubleshooting steps (https://kiro.dev/docs/hooks/troubleshooting/) for the specific hook you are using.
