i’d reccomend farming lots of bug steaks (or the egg dish) because they’re super easy to make/acquire, and try to just reach check points instead of focusing on the loot for the time being. I did “on” days and “off” days, where every other day (“off”) would be for gathering bug steaks and more materials (eg ores or crystals) from easier levels to increase combat/mining proficiency, talk to villagers, farm, etc whereas the “on” days was going hard core at the mines with my upgraded stuff and all the food i’d gotten the previous day. also, use lots of bombs!!!!! until you unlock all the levels, just try to focus on unlocking all levels that end with a 0 or a 5.

shad, bream, sunfish, eel, catfish, sardine, largemouth bass, bullhead, and carp are all available in spring, all of them are available in different seasons as well
