at the start I would suggest you only go to the mines if you have spare energy and time after watering your crops

if it RAINS... go straight to the mines

Water can can be pretty useful, dont bother making the 1st sprinkler, its not worth it, save till you can afford the quality ones atleast!

A good tip for early game is... if you run out of energy you can...
Fish... eat fish or the edible trash (algae or joja colas) and keep fishing all day long till it's time to sleep.
