If you want to try mods, the Stardew Valley Expanded (often abbreviated SVE) adds new characters, locations, and questlines. Definitely worth a look.

You can also try different farms & different strategies (Riverlands comes with a fish smoker, which is a great starting piece of equipment). There are a ton of farms available as mods also.

What was the last update you played. Starfruit and ancient fruit wine still are supreme. Doing deep skull cavern is as good as ever. Fishing has gotten fish smokers that get both the fisher and artisan profession buffs applied to them.
Foraging has a late game thing that is helpful.
Fairy rose honey is great.
Tea saplings though we're nerfed.
Combat has a decent way to make money late game as well now. If 1.5 or before we're the last updates you played.

i don’t think anybody is objectively “bad” at stardew, it’s a very open ended and optional game, while the community center may be the main “story goal” you are never obligated to live by the story, you can just play at whatever pace you’d like, especially for a first place through imo.
if you’re too busy speed running through the community center you miss all the small details that make stardew so great, so i don’t think you should be so hard on yourself by only progressing through the center so much

Well I have recorded my first attempt. The first upside will release on May 1st.

Made a mistake and had to restart the challemge after 7 hours

This run i predict is easily 100plus hours. 100 hours being the lower bpund. But its probably gonna be closer to 200 to 300 hours
