i always try to keep robin busy so by day 9 i've already spent 10000g on a barn and coop bc i didnt get enough copper before upgrading pickaxe to afford a silo to keep robin busy

that set me back alot

thats what i recommend. complete the game and then research tips and optimizations for your second play through

but with a smoker, and if i get baitmaker forage, i can make way way more per day fishing and hopefully have the gold in time

there is no pattern its rng so just try to keep the fish behind the green bar as best you can, get a smoker and baitmaker asap, and you can use tackle, buff food and deluxe bait to help with hard fish
