Talk to villagers when you pass by them. It's good to get to know people. Make sure to try doing a little bit of everything to try it all out but don't feel like you have to do it all super efficiently, it's a relaxed game.

The further you can get it from a "shore", the better. Do note that fishing experience is also increased by landing higher quality fish- Distance as well as if it's a perfect catch can boost it all the way to Iridium for many fish.

Also, energy conservation isn't that important with fishing since you can just eat raw low-value fish like Carp, Smallmouth Bass, and Ghostfish to restore a ton.

Then yes, and make sure you use even just basic Fertilizer! There's one that costs only 2 sap and gives a minor chance of quality boost, just to be safe!

Use that money and working the gold out through to the end of the Mines (Gold spawns a lot allllll the way down) to cushion things and finish out Vault or Bus (Joja) to access what you're looking for

Charcoal kilns can be helpful, yes, but your best source is really Floors 40-79 iirc.

Cutscene is a lot different then actually talking. Penny and Maru sit on a bench and talk, that's scripted, they spend one day a week talking about books. Shy people can talk to people, and be too scared to ask someone out. But he actually just creeps on her, it's weird. They don't talk and I don't see them having chemistry, it's not even like I hate Clint, I hate his behavior
