because the cabin is supposed to belong to someone else, you cant edit it.
the only thing you could do is like I said, put all the furniture except the bed in a chest, and then add your machines.

Basically whenever a character says an ID code, you get the item that corresponds to the number. An example (not an accurate one tho iirc) would be [172] for milk or smth. You can google what each items ID code is. Ppl often buy chickens from marnie bc they're relatively cheap and name the chicken rhe I'd code. Some ppl use more than one for a chicken to be more efficient (ie naming a chicken [35][53][89] for 3 different items). This does not work om the switch tho
