For iridium, gold and even coal to some extent yes. Aside from those, I just mine in the normal cave

You can get a bunch of iron ores if you use bombs !

Just depends on how deep you go and how long you mine for ! For me an average run gets me 600 ish iridium ores, 300 gold , 250 ish copper and and similar amount of irons (I never count coal just buy em from Clint)

I was never able to finish or pass the first year during my early playthroughs back in 1.4 transitioning to 1.5 (announced).

A little later then, I was able to get to Fall of year 2 until 1.6 came out. Now, I'm going to start playing a much longer term save, hopefully 1.7 won't require me to start a new one.

You can put sprinklers on the beach farm, however they won’t water the crops planted on the sand. There’s a small amount of area that you can put sprinklers on and actually have them work

That sounds like a great plan. I’ve never upgraded to iridium sprinklers. Maybe I should do that too, I’m in y3, but I haven’t felt a need to prioritize it. Definitely upgrade your barn and get some pigs. They drop truffles and truffle oil makes a lot of money. If I sell 4 or 5 truffle oils, I get almost 6000g
