So, if the crop is very cheap, jars are better because the base amount that is added, but if the crop is high value, getting 3x from a keg is better

every season the farm will get more of that tall grass, as well as more logs and stones. Early game you really only need to clear out an area you want to work with, dont worry as much about the rest of the farm

well, thats a topic of much debate no doubt. but my personal opinion would be to spend as much money as you can on seeds at the start of the next season, and keep em rolling. just make sure you dont plant something so late in the season it wont grow in time. (at the end of the season all crops will die if they cant survive that season)

im not a big fan of fishing, but if you like the fishing minigame then thats a great way to make some early cash, especially late in the season when its too late to grow new crops

if you're interested in lore-type of stuff, there's 1 cutscene that is tied to having 3 hearts with sam that can only be viewed before winter in y1.

outside of that, and the decision about your farm cave (don't worry about this for the time being if you've not unlocked it yet), there's no things you can permanently miss/can't change and things will always come back, so there's no rush

I think the coolest thing about the game is how timing works with planting stuff. I think something I’ve learned is that some of my crops have certainly died bc I didn’t give them time to grow. What di you recommend for knowing when to start planting on your farm? I hope that makes sense

you can't change your farm cave (after you've decided it) whereas everything else, e.g. professions can be changed, buildings can be built/moved/demolished, festivals can do in future years, etc.

no worries at all! it's tied to 25k total earnings so don't worry about it, it's the infamous "fruit bats vs. mushrooms" situation haha

i usually just use the addition method, it never fails for me
the day that i plant and water (e.g. parsnips on day 1)

• 4 days (stated on seed packet) = they will be ready on day 5 ^^

(this is assuming u watered all days, as not watering will halt plant growth)

well, i like to get crops that yield multiple harvests, so i try to always plant everything i intend to grow that whole season on day 1. So for example, i plant coffee in the spring because it will give a lot of harvests through spring AND summer, then the same with corn. Corn can grow in the summer and fall both, so it also lasts a long time and yields a lot of harvests.
since the last day of each season is the 28th, i always spend that day getting prepared for the morning. fill your inventory with the seed you have, make sure you have your tools, maybe even till some of the area (most of it will get ruined, but i do it anyways), and if you have anything left to sell, sell it off before the 1st so you will have plenty of money to buy mroe seeds.
