Point 3 is more pertinent when you want to heavily invest in pigs. Its a chance to produce per time spent on viable tile basically, so the less space individual pigs have, the more likely they will not be able to produce a truffle

No. you shouldn’t just be fertilizing without having a proper plan or else you’re just wasting resources. You can look up crafts growth calendar to see if you will yield extra harvest with speed fertilizer.
