You ant 54 parsnips to unlock level 2 farming, use mines to unlock a supply of basic sprinklers for a potato crop on the 6th, and as you hit the mines you fill in more crops as you have supplies for more sprinklers

You want sprinklers for starfruit anyways, so you should be using those sprinklers to bring in income. Catfish is how you make bulk money but it's not going to be all of your time, won't need it either. With a targetted bait maker and a smoker you make a ton from catfish

You go starfruit+deluxe speedgrow for 3 total harvests, and then you want to dump as much of that as possible into preserve jars as possible. It'll set you up very well for everything else. I normally sell the first harvest of gold srarfruit to fuel preserve jars and second crop of starfruit, maybe some of the silver if I need it

So you should have a lot of money past the 13th of summer, which is enough time to get the buildings done

because there's a fair bit of moving parts to cc completion
it's nice to try to play efficiently but good to also have realistic expectations so that you don't stress yourself out too much

Preserve jars multiply value of base product by 2x+50, even more with the artisan perk. So running as many of your crops as possible through them is akways a good idea. They also can be fully "purchased" in supply form. so they scale with wealth really well

Kegs are also extremely good, and dehydrators are good but more specific crop dependant

I meant what season/year, but you just gave them. First thought is tool upgrades (or starfruit seeds if you've already got the greenhouse.)
Other than those, fish ponds can make good money, or you could maybe save up for a house upgrade.

Pigs are a good investment, but they don't work in rain or winter. Just something to keep in mind. You don't need very many of them either, I have... four, I think, in my current save and I'm swimming in truffles.
