sunfish - spring river until 7pm, sunny

largemouthbass - spring mountain lake until 7pm
sturgeon - rainy summer days, mountain lake until 7pm

bream - spring river (6pm onwards)
eel - spring rain ocean (4pm onwards)
walleye - fall rain river (12pm onwards)

pufferfish - summer beach 12pm to 4pm only, sunny days

i think it's because some were there first - like my mature trees were already grown trees, and then they spread seeds around (which grew later)

Trees can grow to saplings, but once there's a full grown tree there, it won't grow any further, and ... exactly what Steph just said about trees growing at different rates.

now seriously though, i really think that optimizing too much can make stardew not fun anymore, kind of the same reason i hate meta's in other games and why listening to black sabbath when playing stardew makes sense to me, don't be afraid to not be 100% efficient or a bit chaotic

I figured but my running speed is slow so I figured horses might help to get around faster and do more in a day

If it takes you 5 hours to do something walking back n forth

it'll be like 2 hours with horses meaning u can do more things in a day

Up to you, really. I just personally use a lot of speed boost foods and drinks so for me personally i never buy horses. But they sure can be helpful, and they're cute!

Me too, it’s my first playthrough so I didn’t know what the bundles in the cc did or what the purpose of the bus was and then year 1 started to come to an end and I missed out on stuff like foraging and getting crops for bundles and stuff
