if your greenhouse isn't unlocked, then there isn't much options unfortunately
you can continue to pet any animals you have - collect animal products e.g. eggs - and plant any powdermelon/any winter forageables
tho each winter forageable (from winter wild seeds) only gives 3 farming exp so it's really not great for levelling farming

there's also farming books but usually too expensive for what it's worth imo (for most use cases)

Legit. They are a bit pointless, but not for every fish. Lava eel and legendary fish are the best, and if ur looking for specific resources certain fish can help

basically it's just rolling d6s to decide how many actions you can take per day (influenced by daily luck), and d20s to decide which actions you can do a day, (there's a set list, e.g. #1 is mail, #2 is tilling)

so e.g. some days u can roll mining without combat, and u enter the mines w/ no weapon
