not sure what kind of advice you're looking for exactly, but if it's for best (profitable) fishing spots for every season iirc:
(feel free to correct me if i'm wrong)

• spring: mountain lake when it's sunny, forest river when it's raining
• summer: ocean (you can fish in mountain lake for sturgeons too)
• fall: forest river during the day, ocean at night (6PM onwards)
• winter: mountain lake

but fishing overall, use fishing buff or use a training rod until you get used to fishing. the more you level up, the bigger the bar gets so it's much easier to fish

Idk if it gives friendship points or not, but you get an achievement for a good soup. I just use iridium quality goat cheese for the soup and the festival

Ah, give it time. Iridium rod with deluxe bait and cork bobber with lobster bisque and you won't have any issues . The higher your fishing level the longer the fishing bar.

Or just dupe quartz and trade that for bombs. Quartz processes fast enough for 2 harvests a day. Amass bombs easily, quickly and save time and resources.
