I can pick it up but only have choice of put down again or in the bin. I tried all the buttons on my controller but no box to ask about eating popped up. similarly, I cannot figure out how to pass a geode to the blacksmith

Yes, but it will take a little bit for them to grow to full

If you're low on wood, feel free to chop everything down, and it'll be back to normal after a while

That's usually what I focus on during spring of the first year is crops and stocking building supplies. I don't even touch the mines until the first of the two rainy days.

To make the most profits

for profit its usually animals or fishing. unless you have unlocked ||skull cavern|| then you could potential do deep dives i'm meaning ||floor 200 plus at least||. get a lot of iridium smelt it into bars, change to the blacksmith profession and sell them. other than those profits are not high in winter.

i fish from 2-3 only planting what i need for the community center. i mine on the fifth and get 45 copper ore. i buy copper pick, backpack upgrade, and 100 strawberry seeds. by end of spring i am at level 6 farming. and have enough materials for at least 50 quality sprinklers
