Dehydrators can be good, preferably with fruit that produces multiple fruit per harvest i.e. Cranberries & Blueberries. Mushrooms are also incredibly solid with dehydrators as one of two ways to turn them into artisanal goods.

If you've got high base value fruit, you should use them for kegs, rather than dehydrators.
Reasoning for specifically high-value is because not only does it take longer to process, but higher multiplier.
Kegs gives a multiplier of x3, while dehydrators has a multiplier of x1.5 per fruit.
However, dehydrators can work nicely if you're strapped for cash because they process fruit quicker, but at less total profit.

TL;DR Use fruits you have plentiful and are relatively low-value for dehydrators, use high-value fruits for kegs.

I did not get that Summer event and my Foraging is only lv 9 by the end of Summer. Have to wait trees to grow bcs I cleared all. 😂
