I have the silo built . I was unsure if it was grass or fiber... I have tried both. If it's any help... I am playing on a switch coming from a computer but the action button (A) should add the grass to the silo. Unless I am completely mistaken

If the Silo is built, then cutting down Grass with the scythe has a chance to add hay to the Silo

You can also let your chickens roam by opening the little coop door, and they will feed on grass outside (except in winter)

Unless your barn is Deluxe, you shouldn't have to build another one. The upgrades are further into her menu and should make you click an existing one

bit of a niche question--if I've planted wild seeds and they've matured (so my field is basically tilled soil tiles with forage items on top), then will said forage items still wither at the start of next season? it's technically not a crop plant but unsure

My gut tells me they'll just fully vanish, leaving your Hoed tiles vulnerable to being removed on season change.
If they're still seeds growing, they'll leave behind a wilted crop, so if that's your goal, Pick them, and just make/replant the seeds on the last day.

Get a bit more xp/profit out of them instead of letting fully grown stuff die.

I've never actually tried, since I always plant them to finish on the 28th to harvest.
