I went Meadowlands for free chickens @lavish kiln if you are doing a different way. More affordable to go after chickens and then to cows. In my opinion. (I'm new so weigh that opinion as needed)

Once fully grown, you are able to place anything next to them.

Blueberries are good as a raw sell crop, or used in Dehydrators if you can spare the 10k for the crafting recipe. Melons are good for processing into either Jelly or Wine, just depends what you have the resources/levels to make.
Wheat or Hops are good if you can make kegs.

Hops are great. One of the best crops. THe reason most people won't use them is because they're a trellis crop, and are daily work once grown.

If the fruit has high base price, keg is always better. I think you might make more Kegs if you have Tapper farm, so just process them.

Dehydrator is designed as an "instant noodle" option to process massive crops asap at around 25% profit boost. Keg is the opposite.

It really depend on your preference. Some actually put Peach or Pomegranate tree as an alternative. Some put cooking material crops or coffee bean. Some just classic Ancient Bean. ||Cause you will have more farming space.||

Assuming you know the time/place (noon-4pm, sunny summer, ocean), the only things to really make it easier is Fishing Buff foods, and a Trap Bobber

Their pattern tends to be shooting upwards about 50-80% of the way up the bar often

So hover your green bar so that the fish is near the bottom of it
