What do yall do if you constantly need an obscene amount of iron for explo slingshot ammo?

i find myself in the noral mines like 2 days a week

Depends on the cavern. Close corridors, yes. Big, wide open caves with ores in the middle far away from any walls? You'll need bombs. I bring both.

or so I've heard, the slingshot is a glorified stone carrier for me, I gotta make explosive ammo sometime

I buy ammo from the AG and bombs from the Dwarf. I only make them very early on when I don't have money. Doesn't take me long to remedy that situation.
