Also a note, in 1.6, if you are still at 0 fishing when Summer 1 rolls by, Willy will find you when you leave home, give a fishing lesson that instantly get you to level 1 fishing, and even throws in a training rod for you at no charge (normally costs only 25G so it's practically free anyway)

It's fantastic in year 1 if you can do it early enough. More ancient seeds via the seedmaker to plant once you get the greenhouse open. I got two ancient seeds in the second week of spring and planted them both. Ended up with 24 AF seeds by the time the greenhouse was unlocked in mid-Fall. I'd never had more than 4 before.
