That's really the best way. Just fish the whole day. If you get to fishing lvl 5, you can choose the fisher profession, which will give you a 25% increase on all the fish you sell. Other than that, just buy crops with the money you get from fishing. If you're in spring, I'd recommend potatoes and save as much money as possible until spring 13th and dump all your money into buying strawberries.

why do you wanna farm in winter, you get a break. tend to your animals, upgrade all your tools, make sprinklers. you should leave winter 1 with a 12 coop and 12 barn, all gold tools with atleast iridium pickaxe, and like 30+ quality or better sprinklers, checking luck everyday and having proper food/tools/bombs/etc in a chest ready for pushing mines, teleporting to desert on the luckiest days right away, and letting yourself pass out
