Depends on what you wanna do, tbh.
For fishing, you'll have a higher chance of treasure chests appearing. For mining, you'll have a higher chance of discovering ladders while breaking rocks, can get geodes and coal from breaking rocks, more crates and gem nodes.

I'd recommend watching tv every morning, cause that way you can grow your recipe collection, you'll know your luck for each day and you'll know the weather for the upcoming day, so you can kinda plan around that.
Maintain your crops by watering them, go forage if you have energy and time left in the day and for early game I'd recommend fishing, cause you can sell them to be able to afford more crops. You don't really have a lot of options in the first week besides foraging or fishing, so I'd just go with that after watering your crops.

You can skip the fiberglass rod if you don't mind not using bait, just have to fish at bubbles or fins other ways of getting xp (crab pots)
