Animals aren't bad too but big initial investment (money and time)

I was just giving one specific tip because people fish a lot in the early game. In 1.6 ||once you're lv6 make a bait maker and bring it with you so you can target the most valuable fish. It will almost double your daily fishing earnings||

Wait until a rainy forecast. Let the animals eat today, then scatter the grass starters tonight before the rain arrives.
Tomorrow, the animals won't go outside because of the rain.
The day after, the grass has had multiple days to spread (and I hear it spreads more in rain, but I don't know if it's true), so it will last noticeably longer.
