Okay, bats can get you fruit that could help completing the Community Center early. But mushrooms in 1.5 can give you some nice money, and common ones are a good early-game food source, and you get a set 6 mushrooms every day ||(this changes to every other day in 1.6, which will happen for you on Nov. 4th). ||
But cave choice really doesn't matter much beyond early game. Flip a coin.

And no, not really the "same account". The game doesn't cloud save. If you want to play your save a bit on PC and then on mobile you'll need to transfer your save file from one platform to another, and the other way around too

If you check the plant's calendar on the Wiki, any plant that has days left over after its last harvest of the season can be planted late that many days and still have the same number of harvests. If its last harvest is on the 27th, as it is with pumpkins, you can plant on the 2nd and still get your 2 harvests in, as the last one will now be on the 28th.

But, yes, it will leave "loot" (read: junk) when you're not there and it will remain until the end of the day before despawning.

As of yet, you can't put Legendaries in a pond (there is talk of it in a future update).
The two best are Lava Eel and Blobfish. Lava eel roe is worth more, blobfish produce much more, enough to close the gap and really make them effectively tied for first in my book.
After that it's sturgeon and ice pip tied for 3rd in roe price, but sturgeon produces a lot more roe, but it takes a day longer to age in jars.
