Take all the hay from the hopper once the silo is full, at 240/240. Store that hay in a chest and scythe more grass in an area your animals aren't eating from. Leave behind tufts of grass here and there so it can regrow and fill in. Repeat from Spring to Fall and you'll get enough free hay to last you all Winter.

You can. They don't destroy anything. Year 1 I'll place their buildings just the other side of my crops and let them go to town on all that grass out there. And on my Riverlands farm I have no fences at all because they're on their own island.
But they CAN get in your way if you're trying to plant crops, hoe or fertilize. So people find it convenient to give them pens, which can also look nice and orderly.
Pigs, on the other hand, you most likely want fences for, so their truffle-finding is limited to one area (make sure it's large enough) and you're not hunting down truffles across your entire farm.

Steer clear of wood. You have to replace it too often. Use stone at a minimum, which you can replace every Winter when it's more convenient. It's also when most people redecorate, redesign their farms for the upcoming Spring, what with having new crop options and maybe new sprinkler types.
Hardwood is my favorite. It looks the nicest, and lasts for almost 4 years.
Also, your ||spouse will sometimes repair your fences for you.|| Probably the least useless thing they do. 🤣

The process is the same for Fall, but with pumpkins and cranberries.

It you wanna process everything at once sure, but you don't need as many jars as you have crops, due to them processing very fast. Take pumpkins for example. They take 13 days to grow. You can use a preserves jar like 6 times before you get another harvest of pumpkins, so you only need like 1/6th as many jars as you have pumpkins

Hey everyone, so me and my girlfriend are playing Stardew Valley in co-op mode and we had reached the first of Fall year 1 before signing out. We're both playing on Mac through steam and basically I went into the game after she'd signed out to check my stats but forgot to sign out. Time has passed while I've been afk and I'm now at Fall day 8 of the same year - my character has been in bed this whole time and just kept passing out at 2am every night.

I want to be able to go back to where we were but don't know how. I know you're able to go back to the previous day by renaming the *_old file in your game save folder on Mac. But that would only take me back to day 7. Since my girlfriend has been logged out this whole time, her save file should be at Fall day 1, right? Is it possible for me to take that file from her device and use that to go back to day 1? Or would the contents of her save file only work on her device? Any help would be appreciated :)

You’re in control of the cheats so as long as you don’t abuse money or items it shouldn’t ruin much

the mod won't break your PC or anything but you do gotta be careful adding to many mid game
