SF can be bought in-mass asap, and also better for Casks (though you shouldn't be stockpiling wine waiting to age).

So really, it's more about preference, they're both good.

For most people wood era is about a season, copper about 2 seasons, iron is about 1 season and then iridium is at late Y1
