Stardew valley has a daily timer and seasons, but it doesn't mean you're actually time constrained and have to do x in y time to progress.

Do whatever you like and however u enjoy games.

This is assuming u look up tips on the internet and get bombarded by all sorts of information that may only matter if you are rushing and min-maxing.

Im on my first playthrough and I chose the forest! There's less freedom in layout I guess but I find it's more than enough farmland. I like muh trees.
