i will typically hand water all my crops during spring yr 1 while i grind for basic sprinklers for summer crops, once u get a good amnt of ore and quartz for quality sprinklers, u can transition

You can really make do with sprinklers. Maybe not for all your crops, but it'll take a load off. When you can get iron and gold reliably, you can make quality sprinklers which is now all of the sprinkling I do. I cant get iridium reliably yet.

also, one thing I didn't mention is that you can take your own path and earn money other ways to buy the ore from clint. it's expensive, but you don't have to grind as much this way.

if you dont have sprinklers just make sure ur planting a reasonable amount of crops that dont take up ALL of ur energy in the morning to water if ur goal is to be able to grind the mines and fish efficiently

the spa area unlocks in summer so you can restore your energy there

takes a while but ultimately worth it if you don't have enough food yet
