iirc there are special tree spaces for each type of fruit tree in the greenhouse, it's just a 1X1 space on the edges. you wouldn't really plant one crop there, so eventually you'll probably want them in the greenhouse if you are getting them. they will produce year round in the greenhouse as well, so more opportunity for profit. fruit itself doesn't typically make a lot of money, but kegs or preserve jars can boost that

yeah i've never done it. No one is really using that 3 key combo though, they are typically using a shortcut by mapping those three keys to one key like X or like a side mouse button if you have a gaming mouse. i'm not 100% sure how to set that up, but when you google how to use animation canceling stardew a bunch of stuff pops up

i've heard the hardest part is getting the timing right. if you do it too early, you won't actually chop the tree or mine the rock, but if you do it too late then the animation doesn't cancel so it doesn't make you any faster
