if it's still early game, I recommend first planting crops and letting them grow, fishing is actually very good in early game because it earns you quite some money and fishing xp you'll need later on, in late game it's not something you'd do often because there's just so many better ways to earn g more efficiently

Upgrade your watering can up to steel if you haven't already, get further into the mines so you can make sprinklers that are actually useful, do some fishing, like samzyyy said winter seeds are great.

The cheap sprinklers are pretty useless, by the time you can get the iron to make them you are not very far away from getting gold for the quality ones.
