Foragables can spawn on your farm and you have 8 large stumps respawning everyday which is really good for hardwood and leveling your foraging skill

The only sign of how actually far into the game you are is by doing stuff, so if your like Year 20 with the same stuff completed as someone in Year 2, you haven’t missed anything

you should usually max out the number of animals in your farm buildings, though.

if you have room for 4 chickens then you should have 4 chickens

you can choose not to, but that is usually a choice you should make deliberately rather than just "oh three chickens time" because all animals are baseline profitable

yes but coal should be the easiest ores to get. coal is literally one of the most mined minerals in the world with over 7.8 billion tons mined in 2021. it is an non renewable mineral but there are an insane amount of coals/coals mines in the world. i am very sure that if you went back 150 years ago in countries like china, india, australia or the US and went mining in a random cave, you would come back with at least 20 kgs of coal in a day. you would not need any technologically advanced tools like drills etc, you would literally need a pickaxe and a shovel thats it. coals are so common because they are literally formed by plants heated and pressured for hundreds of millions of years. yes you might say that "hundreds of millions of years" are too long and that would take ages to produce coal. not really, hundreds of millions of years are basically nothing compared to how long earth has been existing for.
