@humble shore also she didn't mention it in the video but this game requires a lot of wood, so much wood. Make sure to use all the free space on your farm in Y1 especially to replant trees with all the seeds you get while chopping them down. Chop, replant, chop, otherwise you will be wood hungry.

General tip, try to pay attention to the weather channel. If it'll rain tomorrow, try to upgrade your watering can beforehand.

So your crops will be watered anyway from the rain the next day. Then the day after that, your watering can should be ready.
