Not when the weapons you get earlier in the game can't really make use of the deceptively low critical chance bonus.
There are ways to make Scout+Desperado viable later in the game(great for 1-shotting flying enemies instead of waiting for them to come back in range), but when it comes to that you can just reset your perk choice a bit later in the game. Fighter is simply more immediately useful.

That's good for a slam spammer too. But the main benefit is Acrobat which is locked behind 10, so yes you may as well use Fighter until then.

You can never let your animals out and instead just cut the grass from time to time and instead feed them the hay you get from that
But letting them eat the grass increases affection faster so you can get higher quality produce faster
