speed gro only affects a plant if it's there on day 1... I think. Possible that this has changed since I last looked at it 4 years ago.

either way, you only get 3 strawberry harvests in year 1 with the speed-gro reward from spring crops bundle

you can achieve this with a cauli planted on day 1 of a new save, and green bean planted on day 3 or earlier. The cauli will finish growing on day 13, and you can deliver it after the egg festival to get 20 speed gro for use the same night.

I am so sorry that I am just now seeing this, I had to peace for a bit and I looked at discord today and noticed I still had a notification up for this chat!

While ancient fruit and startfruit are both very valuable as one offs, profit per day is not even remotely close to comparable between hops into pale ale and any other available crop in the game.

The only thing that beats it are peach and pomegranate fruit trees that are jarred or kegged and sold at base quality. --- obiously the initial investment is higher if you were trying to build everything out in a day, but no matter what, peach=pomegranite>hops>ancient>starfruit is the daily profit margin breakdown.

The gap between the hops and the ancient fruit is actually quite staggering once you get built up

there are a few ways but those are very rare. mystic nodes give the highest chance but they rarely ever spawn (||quarry||). second best chance is iridium nodes which there's a lot of in ||skull cavern||, going there requires preparation though
