Get a lot of cranberries for fall so save them until then

Concentrate your early spending on things that can make you MORE money. A coop is good to start, because chickens lay eggs every day, which you can eventually turn into mayo and make daily income. Save money at the end of every season so you have enough to buy seeds. But in the beggining and middle of a season, buy things that can increase your income. If you can make money from it, buy it.

I have different loadouts for different things. One for everyday use, where I have my tools, the other for combat/mining where I have weapons and bombs. I'll swap depending on what I'm doing.
And it gets easier when you get more backpack space from Pierre.

It's infested. You'll get swarmed with mobs. And you can only get to the next level if you kill every monster on the level. It's a good idea to use a staircase to bypass these levels if you aren't prepared to fight a lot of mobs.

DO NOT close the door and go to bed. That will lock them outside and they will be grumpy the next day or possibly get eaten by wild animals.
If for some reason they are not going back inside, enter the barn or coop, then exit, and then re-enter. The animal in question will spawn back in the barn or coop.

Like someone said above, just leave the animals' doors open. Nothing bad will happen if you leave it open. But something bad might happen if you have it closed at the wrong time.
Some people might close the doors late at night to be able to have all their animals in one place so they can pet them first thing in the morning and then open the doors to let them out. This is perfectly fine.
