Trouble is (1) they're troublesome and (2) they do take away from your resources for other things - copper for tappers and iron for quality sprinklers - so the real question is whether the tempo boost is worth the materials.

for average players I think it's likely that the better option is to just ignore them, plant less crops in spring (spring crops suck anyway) and go for earlier and more quality sprinklers

well technically you can run to the adventurers guild to hit up some different weapons.

the obsidian is a pretty specific find and it is pretty rad when you land it most of the time

im pretty big on clubs, at least for PC.

when you right click to use the big smash ability for clubs you can immediately left click as many times as possible until the ability animation hits the ground, so it does a whole bunch of smashes over and over haha

its a bit cheeky, but it works really well
