Ah! Allow me to advise. Forest farm has a lot of buildable room (the green meadow tiles) but not a huge amount of tillable soil for crops/grass. Hence you want to put buildings (trees, fruit trees, even scarecrows) on the green meadow tiles as much as possible, so that you can put crops on the crop tiles. For barn/coop, I like to put them by the edge of the meadow tiles so that I can grow grass there.

You can use a copper or better axe to chop down the bushes (mostly; you can't chop down bushes at the edge.)

If you want to build over the hardwood stumps, chop them down before visiting Robin. You can also stop them from respawning by putting pathing/objects on top of them. (Up to you if/when you want to do this, though.)

Bottom right of the map is mostly dead space, I like to put silos there. Alternatively you can put down fruit trees on that space.

Aside from that, you don't want to work with straight lines. They're not bad, but if you need to take an efficiency hit to cover more crop tiles with sprinklers, do it. Total coverage is more important than efficiency. Scarecrows are a good example - you can cover the entire crop area with one scarecrow in the centre, but it might be preferable to put down 4 scarecrows at the edges instead, so you can grow crops in that tile.
