best fishing location in spring y1 is mountain lake. Aim for perfect catches, eat chubs to keep your stamina up, and just fish. In the rain, if you're good at fishing, go fish in the forest river. There are catfish there, they're hard to catch but very $$$.

Fishing doesn't scale well though so you want to put your fishing proceeds to making money in other ways. First, start with fibreglass rod and bait to fish more in a day. Secondly, farm crops and do all the other farming stuff like raising chickens.

the greatest life hack in SDV is to go down the mines. At level 80+, you find gold ore, which you can use to craft quality sprinklers (farming level 6) and these are useful enough that you just want to have them as early as possible. Automating your watering is incredibly strong.

Pickaxe and axe are top priority to be upgraded. As you gain ability to craft quality sprinkler later, you don't really need to upgrade watering can early. Also hoe is used once in a while so no need to rush to upgrade it too

Best fishing spots for fishing experience in early-game is the Mountain Lake imo. If you use the training rod, it is easier to get perfect catches which net more experience. I recommend only using it until level 5 fishing as the “bar” on the training rod is fixed at level 5.

Not a problem. Once you do hit the level to craft/buy crab pots, they do give passive experience. You will get some trash, but most of it can be recycled into things like torches and refined quartz.

Usually quality of the fish is dependent on how far you cast out and getting perfect or good catches. You must just be a good fisher

Strawberries don’t tend to be a great option as they have relatively low sell value but high yield, so the profit increase from processing them isn’t that big

Imo, yes. You need a lot of the items for cc. Rabbits feet are also universally loved (except Penny iirc), and wool can profit by making cloth.
