What I’ve tended to do for SDV is play the game a bunch, quit it, come back, delete all my saves, and start a new file with a standard farm I intend to be my new save file

Done this 2 times now so I’m on my first real “standard farm” file

I have an issue with pathologically resetting my saves in video games, have thankfully managed to avoid this in SDV so far
